This page has the European Parliamentary election results for the Leicester area. Elections for the European Parliament have happened every 5 years since the first such elections were held in 1979.

At the moment students in Leicester mostly live in the Leicester European Parliamentary Constituency. This includes the city of Leicester of most of the surrounding area except Blaby which is part of the Northamptonshire European Constituency.

The Changing Boundaries of European Constituencies

The Leicester European constituency has included the whole of the city of Leicester since the first European Parliament elections in 1979. However it was only in the 1994 European elections that the Harborough UK Parliamentary Constituency, which covers Oadby, was included in the Leicester European constituency. Up to 1994, Harborough was part of the Northamptonshire European constituency.
